These Terms govern your use of Cheqii, operated by Myron Ng. By using Cheqii, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
What Cheqii is
Cheqii is a tool for splitting shared costs and seeing who owes whom. It is informational only: Cheqii does not process, hold, or transfer money. Any payment details shown (such as an e‑Transfer email) are provided by users to settle up among themselves — you are responsible for verifying them before sending or requesting money.
Your account
You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign‑in secure. Guest (anonymous) accounts are tied to your device or browser and may be lost if you clear your storage or switch devices — sign in with Google to keep your cheques across devices.
Acceptable use
- Don’t use Cheqii for anything illegal or to infringe others’ rights.
- Don’t attempt to break, overload, or circumvent the security of the service.
- Don’t upload other people’s personal information without their permission.
- Don’t use Cheqii to harass, abuse, or spam others.
Your content
You keep ownership of the information you enter. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display it solely to provide the service to you and the people you share cheques with. You’re responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for having permission to add other people’s names or payment details.
Accuracy & no warranty
Balances and the suggested “who pays whom” are computed automatically and provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee they’re error‑free — please verify before settling up. Cheqii is not financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice.
Availability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Myron Ng is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any amounts paid, owed, or disputed between users arising from your use of Cheqii.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You can stop using Cheqii and delete your account at any time.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws rules.
